Choose the document your audience needs
A slide deck can be shared as one slide per PDF page or as a handout layout, depending on the export options in your presentation application. Speaker notes may need a separate export choice. Decide whether the recipient is reading, printing or presenting the material.
Account for motion and media
A static PDF does not reproduce a live slide show’s timed animations and transitions. A video thumbnail is not a replacement for the video itself. Check whether a slide makes sense as one still page, especially when its explanation depends on objects appearing in sequence.
Inspect the PDF after export
Check fonts, slide edges, charts and any small text. Confirm that the page dimensions match the intended layout and that notes appear only if you meant to include them. If people will print the document, preview a page at its actual paper size before sending the whole deck.
Availability in Folio
PowerPoint to PDF is coming soon. Use your presentation application’s export options today, then open the PDF to confirm the result. Folio’s Merge PDF tool can combine an exported slide document with supporting notes saved as a separate PDF, subject to the shared size and page limits.
